Valentine's Day Mayhem

The Valentine's Day Mayhem is an annual fun, off-season outrigger canoe paddling event hosted by the Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club in San Diego, CA. It typically takes place in February at their launch site at the North Cove Public Beach (Ski Beach) on Mission Bay.

The event is designed to bring the local paddling 'ohana (family) together for some lighthearted racing and winter training. Because it is a more relaxed gathering, the format often deviates from traditional iron or sprint races, allowing paddlers of all skill levels from various clubs to mix and mingle.
